Implementing MIDI on your pedalboard can be hard enough without having to think about additional hardware to take care of your midi chain, but if you have a pedal that receives midi over TRS, you will need to consider which midi converter / splitter is best for you.
WHY IS THIS MIDI SPLITTER ON OUR FAVOURITE THINGS?
A midi splitter / converter needs to be easy to understand and implement. A lot of other versions available expect you to make custom TRS cables per pedal. This is not only difficult but time consuming if you get it wrong (as you need to make a new midi cable to correct your mistake).
The Disaster Area "Midi Box 4" is as easy to use as it is to say. With 4 TRS outputs and a Midi Thru you can keep your midi chain strong before and after this unit.
As far as understanding the device, it doesn't get much simpler than the instructions screen printed right on the top of the box! Look at the pedal brand you're using, flip the DIPs to the correct position and you're done!
2. Easy to understand and plug in.
3. Supports multiple brands of TRS Midi Pedals
4. Midi Thru included
5. No custom cables / wiring required.
1. Requires Power
As far as size goes this is a standard pedal size just like your Xotic RC Booster or Zvex Super Hard On (4.4" x 2.4" x 1.22" / 113mm x 60mm x 31mm)
Power? 9v DC 2.1mm center negative. Easy!
