Passive isolator for two-amp rigs
You run two amps at a gig and get a noisy hum that's never there at home. Patch in Buzzkill and the loop's gone. Passive, gig-bag small.
See it and hear it
Yes if you run two or more amps and a venue hits you with hum that's never there at home. Not if you run a single-amp (series mono) rig. If that's you and you've still got noise, it's probably something else, so email us at info@goodwoodaudio.com before you buy.
How to connect in your rig

The classic two-amp setup. One Buzzkill right before the second amp's input. The closer to the amp, the better.

After your last pedal, right before the second amp's input. The closer to the amp, the better.

Buzzkill keeps one amp galvanically isolated from the other, so the ground loop never forms. Buzz gone.

Two amps sounding thin or hollow together? Hit the red 180 button and they're back in all their glory.

Do I actually need one?
Not if you run a series mono rig. Buzzkill earns its place when you run two or more amps and you get ground loops because of it. Occasionally for a 4 cable method rig Buzzkill will help before the amp FX return, which isolates the pre-amp and power amp. One amp and still noisy? It's probably something else, so email us before you buy.
Is lifting the ground safe?
Yes. Buzzkill lifts the signal ground through its transformer, never the mains power ground that's there to stop you getting electrocuted. No cheater plugs, no risk.
How many do I need?
One less than the number of amps you run (in most cases). A two-amp rig? Get one Buzzkill. A three-amp rig? Get two. An 11-amp rig? Get 10.
Does it need power?
No. It's totally passive.
Where does it go?
After your last pedal, right before the second amp's input (or FX return for 5 cable method). Running 4 cable method? Put it right before the amp's effects return if you're noticing extra noise. In this instance I'd recommend emailing us first to troubleshoot other possible causes of noise.
